Standing Posture Without Pain

Dr. Cheryl Wisinski, PT, DPT, WCS, (owner Midwest Physical Therapy Services) demonstrates normal standing posture using a plumb line. With normal posture, the plumb line goes through your ear, shoulder, hip and just in front of your ankle. Standing in an extreme posterior tilt (tailbone tucked under), or anterior tilt (tailbone swung out) is hard on your spine and leads to forward shoulder and head posturing.
